Krispy Kreme rolled out a Halloween promotion for participating locations for a limited time only: The Krispy Skreme Doughnuts. According to their website, the spooky sweets are:

  • Bewitched Broomstick – A Kreme filled doughnut dipped in purple icing, decorated with an icing swirl and gold stars, and finished with a green buttercreme and pretzel broomstick.
  • Abra Cat Dabra – An Original Glazed doughnut dipped in chocolate icing and black sanding suar and decorated like a cat with icing and sugar fondant eyes.
  • Enchanted Cauldron – A Glazed Chocolate Cake doughnut topped with Kreme and decorated like a cauldron with sprinkles and a pretzel “broomstick”.

With this promotion also comes the Limited Edition Spellbook box for a dozen of the Halloween doughnuts. This Spellbook box contains 3-Bewitched Broomstick, 3-Abra Cat Dabra, 3-Enchanted Cauldron, and 3-Spooky Sprinkle Doughnuts.

Our Experience

I decided to try out this promotion being a fan of Krispy Kreme and Halloween. There are only two locations close to us so we picked one and headed that way.

I was a little nervous that they would be sold out at the location we chose because I had read some people were showing up at the locations only to find out they didn’t have any or they had reached their max on handing out the spellbook box. I was pleasantly surprised when we walked in that they had plenty and they even had the box too.

We ordered a dozen to get the full experience, try each one at our leisure, and share. The cost for the Halloween Dozen at our location was 13.99 plus tax. Some of the comments I seen in Krispy Kreme’s post about this promotion also stated they were disappointed that the decorations didn’t look like the image Krispy Kreme portrayed. They were ok to me but I will let you be the judge of that by checking out the images below.

After giving each one a try, my favorite is the Bewitched Broomstick and Shelby’s is the Enchanted Cauldron. The enchanting doughnuts are not here to stay. They fly out on their broom after October 31st. Participating US & CAN shops ONLY. List of shops and all other information can be found here. If you’ve tried it, I’d love to hear your favorite and your experience. Let me know in the comments below.

I wanted to share with you my review of the Summer Infant Deluxe Bather.  I’ve used this product for about 6 months.  I will go over what it is along with the pros and cons but overall it worked out great for me.  Just for the record, this was given to me as a gift at my baby shower.

What is a Summer Infant Deluxe Bather?  Well, it is one of the many tubs available for a newborn.  This tub can be used from birth until your child is sitting up unassisted.

According to the description, the Deluxe Bather:

  • Craddles and makes bathtime easier and safer.
  • Has soft mesh, head support, and a sturdy base.
  • Can be used in a tub or sink
  • Has 3-position back rest, folds flat for easy storage
  • Is ideal for newborns
